Rod Stewart exceeded my expectations as a performer. Some times an audience may not click with a performer even if the performance is very good. If a singer senses that this is the case only a gifted performer can change the audience and regain their approval. I saw Rod Stewart do this and give a great concert. His band was superb. Rod played Calgary shortly after Queen did two concerts here. I remember some one from Music Express Magazine say to me when the show was over that they thought he out did Queen. He was that good. 

 

 I was asked by the record company to photograph Rod when he arrived in the Calgary Airport. It was a cold fall day when he left the plane with a leather coat on.
